抄録: An approach to estimate brain responses to emotional or generally affective stimuli is presented. Functional electroencephalography (fEEG) and functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) signals are first preprocessed to remove muscle and peripheral body activity physiological noise with utilization of an extension of empirical mode decomposition (EMD) spectral clustering approach, which utilizes simultaneously recorded biosignals as references. The so preprocessed signals are further analyzed with quick signal change detection based on dynamical systems recurrence analysis technique. As a result we obtain clear signature estimates of subjects cognition state changes from fEEG and fNIRS in response to the presented emotional/affective stimuli.
